Rep. Moore launches “To the Library and Beyond!”  Summer Reading Program

State Representative Kyle Moore is inviting area youngsters to explore new worlds this summer in his “To the Library and Beyond!” Summer Reading Program.

“Books can take you to amazing places! When you’re a reader, there’s always a new adventure waiting just a page-turn away!” Rep. Moore said. “Whether you want to explore space or walk with dinosaurs you can do it all with just a book and your imagination.”

Rep. Moore’s “To the Library and Beyond” Summer Reading Program invites all students in grades Kindergarten through 5th in his legislative district to read 8 books over their summer vacation. A parent or guardian may then list the books on the summer reading form found under the resources menu at repmoore.com or fill out the flyer at your local library and return it to his office by August 1st. Successful summer readers will receive a certificate of recognition from the Illinois House of Representatives and an ice cream treat.

“Children who like to read become lifelong readers, and that’s a tremendous gift,” Rep. Moore said.
