“What a busy deadline week at the Capitol! The best part is always meeting and talking with visitors from the district. This week I had great conversations with representatives of the Adams County Ambulance Department, Secretary Carter Kasparie and Student Trustee Kannon Dickerman of the Student Government Association of John Wood Community College, Stacey Juilfs with Clarity Healthcare, and FFA members from Jacksonville. And I was honored to welcome the champion Jacksonville J’ettes to the House and recognize Rebecca Hooks on becoming the first woman to reach the rank of first deputy director with the Illinois State Police.
I also passed my first bill through the House! HB 1352 will allow multiple smaller counties to band together to form a Veterans Assistance Commission.” -Rep. Kyle Moore
