Rep. Moore Named to Legislative Audit Commission

SPRINGFIELD…State Representative Kyle Moore was today appointed by House Republican Leader Tony McCombie to serve as a member of the vital Legislative Audit Commission.

“I’ve managed the budget of a small business, and I’ve managed local government budgets… I take fiscal responsibility and accountability very seriously,” Representative Moore said. “One of my top goals in the House is to help ensure our taxpayer dollars are spent wisely, and to improve transparency in the process.”

The Legislative Audit Commission is responsible for the oversight of the State Audit Program, review of the stewardship of public funds, and monitoring action to correct weaknesses disclosed by the audits of state agencies.

“These assignments are filled with strong and serious members of the House Republican caucus to ensure checks and balances, fiscal responsibility, and legislative oversight are delivered on behalf of the people of Illinois,” Leader McCombie said.
