Rep. Moore: New General Assembly Brings New Opportunities for Problem Solving

A noontime inauguration ceremony in Springfield today officially ushered in the new 104th Illinois General Assembly. State Representative Kyle Moore (R-Quincy) said the start of a new legislative session brings opportunity for new approaches to solving problems.

“I’m honored to be one of the new faces in the General Assembly this year. We’re fortunate to have a mix of experience and fresh perspectives to tackle some of our biggest challenges, including high taxes, increased concerns about public safety, and the need to attract and keep good jobs in our communities. I’m ready to work with new and returning members on both sides of the aisle to hammer out solutions.”

Rep. Moore is a former two-term Mayor of Quincy and current President/CEO of the Great River Economic Development Foundation. He was initially sworn in last week as the new 99th District Representative to replace now-retired Representative Randy Frese.

“I am tremendously honored by the trust families in this district have placed in me by allowing me to serve them in the House, and I will work every day to make them proud,” Rep. Moore said.

Rep. Moore encourages residents of the 99th District to contact him with questions or concerns as the session moves forward at 217.223.0833 or at repmoore.com.
